The delivery capacities of water taps are usually far greater than the quantities actually required at the tapping points. As a result, large quantities of valuable drinking water flow unused into the sewage system every day. In tall buildings, this often leads to an uneven distribution of water between the upper and lower floors – this is where flow stabilizers can help.Water and energy savings plus increased comfort: washbasins and showers can be operated 25-50 % more economically with CFR regulators. Constant flow regulators (CFR) consist of a precision O-ring, a regulating star and a housing. Water passes through the gap between the O-ring and the control star prongs. When the pressure increases, the O-ring deforms and regulates the flow rate constantly.
Functional principle:
Position 1: No or low pressure – O-ring remains relaxed.
Position 2: Normal pressure (~3 bar) – O-ring adjusts.
Position 3: High pressure (~5 bar) – flow rate is greatly reduced.
